We only accept print ready designs. There are a few very important requirements when it comes to making your artwork print ready. Using our dedicated gang sheet generator will help you make avoid a few major problems outlined below.
- Your artwork needs to have at least 300 DPI resolution. The gang sheet generator will detect low quality images and warn you about them. You can upscale low quality artwork using any online upscaler of your choice.
- Your artwork needs to have a transparent background. You can vectorize your logos or illustrations using vectroizer.ai and cleanly remove the background using the image editing software of your choice. Then export as a PNG file. Photos will need to have their background removed professionally in order to avoid semi transparent areas outlined in point 3.
- Your artwork can’t have semi transparent elements. Printers can’t print with semi transparent ink. Semi transparent areas will be printed in solid colour. The end result often looks terrible. Our gang sheet generator will detect problematic areas and highlight them in orange. A very fine border around text is acceptable. Larger semi transparent elements will need to be fixed.
- CMYK printing does not cover 100% of the colour spectrum. It may not be possible to always match your colours precisely. We can usually get most colours about 95% right. If your design requires exception colour precision, please order a small sample first to make sure the colours are acceptable.
- Do no mirror your files.
Application instructions:
- Pre-press the garment at 150C for a few seconds just to iron and dry it a little
- Align the transfer and press it at 150C for 10 seconds with medium to high pressure. Heat press is highly recommended.
- Peel gently after a few seconds for the first time just in case. Our transfers can be peeled right away but there are a lot of variables that can potentially go wrong.
- Press again for 5 seconds with a piece of parchment paper or a heat press sheet on top. (Optionally)
- You can add a small penny sized test design to your gang sheet and practice transferring that on a small discreet area of your garment first just to make sure it will work with your particular fabric type and setup.
Ideally wash inside out at 40C. It’s best not to iron the transfers directly if you can, unless you know what you are doing.
