Which DTF Supplies Do You Need?

Just Getting Started

If you're new to DTF, you need four things: DTF film (start with A4 or A3 sheets), a CMYK+White ink set (100ml or 200ml), white adhesive powder (200g is plenty), and a heat press. Sheet film and smaller ink sets keep your upfront costs low while you learn. Our getting started guide walks through the full setup.

Regular Production

Once you're printing regularly, switch to roll film (much cheaper per print than sheets), buy ink in 500ml or 1kg sizes, and keep cleaning supplies on hand. Regular maintenance prevents expensive printhead damage. If you're printing on dark garments frequently, add black blockout powder to prevent dye migration.

Common Questions About DTF Supplies

What do I need to get started with DTF printing?
At minimum, you need four consumables: DTF film to print on, CMYK+White DTF ink, adhesive powder to bond the ink to fabric, and a heat press to apply the transfer. You'll also need a DTF-compatible printer (usually a converted Epson or dedicated DTF machine). Our getting started guide covers everything in detail.
How much do DTF consumables cost per print?
Roughly £0.50-£2.00 per A4-sized transfer, depending on ink coverage and whether you're using sheets or rolls. Rolls are significantly cheaper per print than sheets once you're doing volume. The main cost is ink - white ink is the most expensive component because it's used on every print as the base layer.
Do you offer trade or bulk pricing?
We offer competitive pricing on larger quantities - check our product pages for bulk size options. If you need custom quantities or regular supply at volume, get in touch and we can discuss trade pricing.
How fast is delivery?
Orders placed before 2pm ship the same day. Standard UK delivery is 1-3 working days. Orders over £100 (inc. VAT) qualify for free UK delivery. Everything is stocked and shipped from the UK - no waiting for international shipments.
Can I try before I buy?
Yes. We offer free DTF film samples so you can test our film with your own printer and ink setup before committing to a purchase. No strings attached.
What printer do I need to use your supplies?
Our ink and film are compatible with Epson-based DTF printers - both converted models (L1800, XP-15000, ET-8550) and dedicated DTF machines with XP600, i3200, or i1600 printheads. If you're unsure about compatibility, ask us - we've tested with most common setups.
Are your products safe to use indoors?
Yes. Our DTF film is EU-manufactured using non-toxic materials, and our inks are water-based. We chose these products specifically because we use them ourselves in an enclosed workspace. Standard ventilation is still recommended when heat pressing, as with any printing process.
What if I have a problem with my print quality?
Check our troubleshooting guide - it covers the most common DTF issues (white ink clogging, banding, poor adhesion, colour problems) with practical fixes. If that doesn't solve it, contact us directly. We've dealt with most DTF issues ourselves and can help diagnose whether it's a consumables problem or an equipment issue.
